Message	Purely a defense mechanism. I've never used it for hitting anything other than baseballs, and I'm a peace-loving guy. However, one time a guy crossing the street in front of me dragged his fingernails across the hood of my car and stared at me the whole time...very weird. Another time, I was getting in my car and three big guys walked by and started talking about how funny it would be to kick the shit out of me and vandalize my car. So I understand when people arm themselves (various methods) in their cars. I have never started a fight in my life, but I'm DEFINITELY willing to finish a fight that deserves fighting. I'd much rather be the one left standing, with a bat in hand if necessary.
